Xtreme Fight Night 2 - Preview

Shamrock Fighting Championships dipped back into the world of mixed combat sports in late 2014 with its first Xtreme Fight Night.

The result was well received and by the look of next month's XFN 2, it's only going to get better. Shamrock has four more XFN's planned including May 9th, August 15th, and November 7th.

The Lumiere Casino, XFN 2 on February 21st and will offer a little something for everyone including professional kickboxing, boxing, and MMA.

Headlining the card are two well-known fighters who have made a name for themselves inside the cage. Darryl Cobb from Jermaine Andre's Academy will take on Adam Meredith from St. Charles MMA in a kickboxing match in the main event.

Meredith does have some stand-up experiencing defeating Jose Jones (also on the card) in a boxing match about a year ago. Cobb's bread and butter is his striking as evident by his win over Joel Blair at the inaugural XFN last November.

Known more for his work in the training room and in the corners, Jared Daniels-Block, the head coach of Modern Combat Systems, will face Jose Jones in a boxing bout in a heavyweight boxing bout.

Knocking the dust off his gloves will be fan favorite "Bad News" Bo Kunz. Kunz will face Sean Woodson in a kickboxing contest, and hasn't seen action since his professional MMA debut in August of 2013.

Hot-shot MMA prospect Joaquin Buckley will be in the night's only MMA action. He will take on Bryant West. West is most-known for TKO'ing another top-flight prospect, Aaron Highfill in Highfill's pro debut. Both fighers are (1-0) in MMA.

Kirk Huff is one of the most versatile combat sport athletes there is in the state having professionally boxed, Muay Thai and in MMA. He has a yet-to-be named boxing opponent on the main card.
