Shamrock FC: 288 - Preview

With three events in just 35 days, Shamrock FC is staying busy this Spring. May 6th will see the return of Shamrock FC's professional boxing,/kickboxing show at Lumiere Casino.

Headlining the event is budding prospect Raymond Handson. Handson (4-0-1) will be back in action after suffering the first blemish to his record - although minor - with a draw against Garrett Gross in February. Handson and Gross, a professional MMA fighter, battled for four rounds back and forth with several of the rounds being nearly too close to call. Facing Handson will be Terrence Akins, who will be back in the ring after almost exactly a year to the date when he defeated Kevin Brown in his professional boxing debut. Akins defeated Brown by unanimous decision on May 7th of 2016.

Undefeated cruiserweight Josh Temple will face Raymond Grey in Grey's boxing debut. Grey, fighting out of Jefferson City, is mostly known for his exploits inside the cage with memorable clashes against Jordan Dowdy and Bobby Voelker to name a few. He will be making his pro boxing debut on May 6th. This will be the first time Temple fights for Shamrock after notching two KO's at the nearby Ambassador Hotel which recently started hosting events after a 11 year break.

The "Silverback" Zach Gerullis will take on St. Louis City Police Officer Brandon Johnson in Johnson's pro debut. Gerullis is a tough match-up for just about anyone due to his height and reach and won't be an easy debut for Johnson. Johnson is graduating up to pro boxing after finding success at Golden Gloves and the annual Guns-n-Hoses event at Scottrade Center.

Rounding out the main card is undefeated Juzzton Hill facing Lavelle Hadley. Hill has two TKO's to his credit, and has found great success inside the ring at Lumiere winning both of his fights.

On the all-amateur kickboxing undercard, Mark Kirkland Jr and George Woods are the feature bout, but keep an eye on Floyd Shahan out of the Academy of Courage who showed he can take a punch, and give it back just as good with a recent kickboxing win at Cage Champs.

The prelims also feature two women's kickboxing as Adrienne Brusca takes on Shayntain Creer, and Shannon Robinson faces Finney MMA's Marye Dalton.
