Rain Out: Titan 25 postponed

By Matt Frazier | Knuckle Junkies

Due to the threat of rain, the Titan FC show scheduled for Friday at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center has been postponed. While no return date has been set, Titan's local partner, Rumble Time Promotions, has plans to keep this card together.

Pending state approval, the majority of Friday's card will be moved to Rumble Time's premiere venue, the Ameristar Casino, for an event to be held on Friday, October 26th.

After speaking with Rumble Time's Jim Jenkins, it appears that everyone involved is focused on moving forward and making this event happen.

"We're not going to let the fighters or fans down," said Jenkins.

Looking for a silver lining in the dark clouds, Jenkins believes the extra time will make for an even better event.

"The fight card was good," said Jenkins. "This gives us even more time to improve it."

The main event for the October show will feature 2-Time UFC-vet Dustin Jacoby from Fiore MMA stepping into challenge "The Prototype" Jake Collier. Collier trains in Cuba, MO at the Smith Pit and looked sharp in his last with Shawn Huffman.

Moving into co-main event spot will be "The Altar Boy" Zach Freeman taking on Thomas Gifford. Freeman will put his undefeated record on the line against the undefeated and 5-0, Gifford.

The feature bout between Ray Grindstaff and Alp Ozkilic will also move to the new venue. Two additional pro bouts will be added as well as most of the amateur fights that were previously scheduled.

Tickets for Titan 25 can be swapped on a 1 for 1 basis for the event at Ameristar Casino. For more information or questions call (314) 267-2204.

As of now it is uncertain if Titan will host an event in St. Louis by the end of the year.
