Lawrence returns home from TUF stay

By Brett Auten | Knuckle Junkies

Justin Lawrence has been surfing a whirlwind.

This past year has seen him go from local wunderkind to a full-fledged potential UFC stalwart.

Lawrence parlayed his skills and reputation onto this year's Ultimate Fighter Live and once there, he didn't disappoint. His excited, strike-heavy style made for excited knockouts and an ever-growing fan base. Lawrence, 22 of Pacific, was the No. 1 overall pick and rolled through to the semifinals where he lost to eventual TUF winner Mike Chiesa.

Lawrence's performances earned him a spot on the Ultimate Fighter Live finale where he delivered a crushing, Knockout of the Year candidate headkick to John Cofer.

Lawrence (4-0) returns to action on August 11 at UFC 150 against Max Holloway (4-1). For this fight he is making the drop down to 145-pounds.
